The Mountain Travel Network is an online business community for the North American mountain travel industry. Initially launched in mid-2007 as a year-round extension of the Mountain Travel Symposium, the Network is now in the second stage of its longer term evolution that will be dedicated to creating a forum for the business professionals in the destination mountain travel industry. The Network is focused on supporting the individual management as well as marketing and sales professionals in our industry.

The Network currently includes:

  • A dynamic Professional Directory that lists many of the marketing and sales professionals in the destination travel side of the industry. It includes the buyers and sellers of mountain travel worldwide and the vendors/suppliers that serve the mountain travel industry.
  • A continuing education and Professional Development forum that features Web Workshops in the tradition of the Symposium Forum on a year-round basis. Network members receive significant savings over retail prices for these sessions.
  • Additional opportunities for Professional Development through archived video presentations from the 2008 Symposium in Vail, the 2007 Symposium in Whistler, the first annual Fall Forum in Breckenridge, as well as archived Web Workshops.
  • The Mountain Travel Industry News and Resource Library featuring current industry news from various sources.
  • Network members also qualify for "Preferred Status" at our other industry events, particularly the Mountain Travel Symposium.

In the future, we hope to offer a Business Exchange, modeled on the Symposium’s Trade and Group Exchanges. It will be designed to facilitate commerce between the buyers and sellers of lodging, activities, transportation, and other vacation components of destination mountain travel.

We intend to continue building the Network as an inter-related business community for destination mountain travel professionals in North America. We envision a long-term evolution, growing organically over time and based primarily on what you, our MTN Founders, want and what the industry will support economically.

We invite you to join us. To learn more and register to become a member, please click here.

If at any time your subscription does not represent a good value, please let us know and we will cheerfully refund the balance of your subscription.

Thanks in advance for supporting this cooperative effort and the business community and industry where we work and play.

Cordially,

Ralf Garrison & Michael Pierson,
